Business Support Services

The combination of your business knowledge and our support services will help your business to grow and increase profitability.

Management information

Regular management information is vital to the continued success of any business. We work closely with you to get to know your business so we can make suggestions to help improve profits or to develop and grow your business. We can prepare your monthly or quarterly management accounts to ensure you always have reliable and accurate information on which to base your business decisions.

Payroll

Running a payroll can be time consuming and complicated and divert resources from the core activities of your business. At Anderson Barrowcliff LLP, we run a first class bureau service for over 17,000 client employees. We provide the solution for businesses who do not have in-house payroll expertise and our services include preparation of security payslips, payroll reports, dealing with PAYE, NIC, SSP, SMP, payment by BACS and completion and submission of end of year returns to the Inland Revenue. Alternatively, we can help with installing payroll software and training your staff to use that software.

We regularly keep our clients informed with the latest changes in payroll legislation and modifications in practice. An example of the changes imposed by the HMRC’s include plans to introduce the online filing of PAYE documentation called Real Time Information (RTI) in April 2013. The new system is being introduced to simplify procedures for HMRC, giving them more regular and up-to-date information on earnings. We will endeavour to help our payroll clients get up-to-speed with the changes, relieving them from the burden of the changes and avoid any unnecessary penalties for incorrect filing of payroll.

In relation to the changes discussed above, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) have led the launch of a new website to give employers the latest news about the RTI regime and what it will mean for their business. Please find the link to the RTI PAYE website below.

Bookkeeping

We can help you with all your general bookkeeping requirements, either at your offices or at our office. You may require help to setup or maintain your records through Sage bookkeeping software, or need us to add the finishing touches to your information on bookkeeping systems in order to create your own management information. If you do not employ a bookkeeper then we can take up the role or help you recruit the right person for your business.

Our Sage bookkeeping service ensures that you have all the benefits of Sage software, without having to train your own staff to use Sage or paying for your own Sage software. Using our own Sage software we take the information that you supply, and provide you with monthly or quarterly reports to suit your specific business requirements. This complete bookkeeping service ensures that your accounts are handled with complete confidentiality.

Business planning and forecasts

Every business should plan ahead to ensure success but daily business pressures often conspire to delay the strategic planning process. Financial forecasts are a crucial part of any business plan and we will ensure these are both meaningful and robust.

Liaising with banks and institutions

We offer support when liaising with banks and other financial institutions. Drawing on our wealth of experience we can support our clients through this often daunting experience.

One of the best decisions I have made as a business owner was to appoint Anderson Barrowcliff LLP as our accountants. Since moving to Anderson Barrowcliff in 2014, the AB team have not only secured us a significant level of grant funding, they have also helped us with a major company restructure that has greatly helped with our commerciality and growth strategy. They have also helped to introduce us to a key new customer. I would highly recommend (and have already done so) Anderson Barrowcliff to all my business contacts.

Many many thanks for all your help, input and advice since you have taken over the accounts. Both you and Anderson Barrowcliff have been a breath of fresh air and we have certainly had our eyes opened as to what information is available. As we always say ‘you don’t know what you don’t know’ so until you presented us with the information that you consider standard on a monthly basis, it was such a relief to be able to see and interpret the figures in an easy to read and understand format.
Anderson Barrowcliff have helped us enormously pre and post conversion by providing advice on software, policies and procedures. They offer a professional service with a friendly approach.
