Stuart Harrington
I began my accountancy career in 2000 after finishing college. Rather than going to University and accumulating a mountain of debt I chose to become an accounts trainee. I’ve worked my way up working at a couple of local firms and I joined Anderson Barrowcliff in May 2023.
I’m currently a senior manager within the Business Services department and my responsibilities include reviewing sets of accounts and ensuring filing deadlines are met at Companies House and HMRC. I also take a particular interest in training the younger members of staff we have (if for no other reason than they might repay the favour when they surpass me)!
Outside of work I’m an avid fan of Middlesbrough Football Club (that explains the grey hair) and attend as many games as I can/my wife allows me to. In recent years I’ve also become interested in the local non-league Football scene so I can often be found on the terraces cheering on my favourite teams. I was a keen runner and ran numerous marathons and half marathons until a series of serious knee injuries curtailed that. When not at Football I’m usually trying to entertain my two young sons with varying degrees of success, watching movies and building LEGO.
