Richard Dowson
I joined Anderson Barrowcliff in February 1992 as a trainee accountant, gaining experience in a number of areas including audit and accounts. I am now a senior manager in the Business Services department with a portfolio of more than 100 clients.
I enjoy the variety that my role provides, including helping to train and develop members of our business services team and to meet and advise clients on a wide range of business matters.
I have seen a lot changes over the years (not least my receding hairline!). One of the most satisfying parts of my job has been to assist our clients navigate their way through these continuing changes.
In my spare time I enjoy watching films ranging from the original King Kong (“It was beauty killed the beast”) through to Toy Story (“That wasn’t flying, that was falling with style”) and Guardians of The Galaxy (“I am Groot”).
I have a very active interest in sitting on the sofa and watching sport as well as trying my best to emulate Pep Guardiola in the world of Fantasy Football! I also like reading crime novels, especially those written by Mark Billingham, usually while drinking copious amounts of vodka!
