David Norris

I started my accountancy path whilst attending Prior Pursglove College in which I gained an A level in accountancy, and subsequently joined Anderson Barrowcliff as an AAT student in 2002. After completing AAT, I then undertook the ACCA exams and qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2009.

Now, as a Senior Audit Manager within the firm, I have a mixed portfolio with which I have gained considerable experience in the audit of small and medium sized businesses, charities and ‘not for profit’ organisation clients, including several in the education sector, such as academies.

I am a trustee of the children’s autism charity ‘Daisy Chain’, where I chair the finance committee.

Out of work the majority of my spare time is taken up entertaining my three beautiful children. We enjoy going on country walks and visits to the beach (also enjoying some of the fine local delicacies!). We also love to watch the Harry Potter and Star Wars films.

When I do manage to get time to myself, I enjoy keeping fit, cooking, and watching the ‘mighty Boro’. One of my favourite times following Middlesbrough was during Steve McClaren’s reign when we won the Carling Cup in 2004 and reached the UEFA cup final in 2006.
