Anderson Barrowcliff is safeguarding its future through the recruitment of high calibre graduates in both chartered and uncharted territory.

The employment of Lucy Hatch and Philip Taylor as trainee Chartered Accountants along with fellow graduate Matthew Gallagher as Marketing Coordinator, underlines the firm’s continued expansion and growth.
“The growth strategy of the firm is investing-in and developing young professionals, allowing them to progress in the business. This ensures that the practice can continue to expand and maintain its position as one of the leading providers of financial solutions to the business community of the Tees Valley”, said the firm’s Managing Partner Nick Upton.
The graduates can look to colleague Helen Smart as an indicator of how opportunities given to young professionals at the firm can develop into flourishing careers.
Mr. Upton explained “Helen has worked at the firm for 7 years, starting as an ACA trainee. However, through her work with audit clients and developing her role in the education sector, she has earned her position as a newly promoted Associate.”
The firm, based in Thornaby, also aims to prosper through the benefits the new marketing function will bring. “It will allow us to spread the message of the range of both compliance and specialist services we can provide to the wider market place”, added Mr. Upton.
“Specialist areas such as corporate tax planning, personal tax planning and corporate finance activities will better equip our clients to tackle the difficult financial circumstances brought on by the recession.”
Anderson Barrowcliff recently celebrated its 10th birthday since being founded following the merger of two leading accountancy firms in 2001 and now has over 50 employees.
